Wild, Wild West Day - Parade Map & Instructions

Dear Parade Participant:     Thank you for joining us.

Please read the following instructions carefully.

Parade participants should arrive in the setup area no later than 9:00AM to have enough time to unload and prepare your entry. Please approach the parade assembly area by taking Bullard Street to San Vicente Street (see map). There you will be met by Lions Club Assembly Marshals wearing bright Lions Club vests. Identify your entry and they will give you a parade position number, parade instructions, directions in staging area, and help with any problems.

Assembly Area:

Bullard & San Vicente Streets / 3 blocks south of Broadway

Parade Route:

From Assembly Area… North on Bullard to Broadway,

One block east on Broadway to Hudson Street. North on Hudson to Collage. One block west on Collage to Bullard. South on Bullard and return to Assembly Area.

* You and your group are responsible for the safe condition of your livestock, wagons, stages, tack, etc, as well as for your safe participation in the events, and the safety of riders in wagons and stages. Please clean up your area before you leave! Be extra careful!!!

* The parade will start assembling at 9:45AM. Parade Marshals will instruct you on when and where to line up. The parade route is on the above map, and you will return to the staging area at the end of the parade.

Keep at least 50 feet between you and the group in front of you.!  Do not bunch up!  Stop when they stop!!

* Walking groups must keep up with the pace of the parade. There will be an MC on Bullard Street and he may stop some units for comments and/or demonstrations.

* We strongly encourage western attire. Any firearms must remain unloaded.

* Do not throw candy or promotional items from the parade, as horses and running children are a dangerous mix. Do not hang balloons from horses or wagons.  Dogs must be leashed in Silver City. Dogs must remain leashed, whether walking or riding.

* Remember, if you haul horses across state lines, you must carry proof of negative Coggins in the past 12 months. New Mexico residents, coming from outside of Grant County, must carry Brand Inspection Papers.

* On reverse side are listings of Silver City Motels, Veterinarians, and Horse Boarding facilities, if required.
