Gila Rangers Annual Meeting, July 10^th, 2006

After the Monthly Shoot Awards were passed out, and all firearms were secured, President Chico Cheech, called the 2006 Annual Meeting of the Gila Rangers to order.

-Officers in attendance: President, Chico Cheech; Vice Pres., Capt Eli Mc Daniel; Territorial Governor, WW

Absence due to recent health resignations: Treasurer: HH Whitehill, Secretary: Red O’Rourke

-Members in attendance: Mary Lee Sloshed, Led Foulin', Bud Guzzlin', Attitude Annie, Dutch Henry, J.W. Brocky, Bear Lee Able, May Lee Able, Tom Three Persons. One Guest in attendance: Hombre

- Item 1: The group was advised of current membership for the coming year was at 20 to-date. Membership cards were available, and forthcoming to absent members by mail. In addition, applications were available, and a reminder was given for the State Championship on September 15^th thru 17^th, 2006 in Magdalena.

- Item 2: Annual fiscal report was passed out to membership present, with a year end balance of $6,591.44.

Our share of the most recent “Border Dispute’06, 6-30 thru 7-3-06 was $653.90. Recent deposits, fees to Fowler, and new target completion were outstanding fiscal adjustments for the beginning of this new year.

- Item 3: “Should the Gila Rangers remain a 5 member Board of Directors?” and ByLaw revisions to make maintenance updates were also discussed. A Motion to leave the Board at five and make the updates to the Bylaws was made by Led Foulin’, Seconded by WW. Motion Passed

- Item 4: Insurance coverage was discussed. Question” Do we have enough for what we do; Ground shooting, mounted shooting, reenactment?” and does Carpenters Insurance remain a viable carrier.

Chico stated he would review Carpenter’s, SASS and NRA and present to Officers for review.

- Item 5: Information. It was stated that we have 24 new pieces of steel for target replacement. Target Mounting and Stands will be addressed by Led Foulin’.

- Item 6: Chico gave an update on the conditions of H.H. Whitehall, Red O’Rurke, and Silver City Skip .

- Item 7: Election of Officers for 2006/7:

All of the motions for Nominations passed. No other candidates were offered.

Motion to elect by acclimation was made by Capt Eli, seconded by WW, motion passed, resulting in the election of the above mentioned candidates.

No other old or new business was presented.

- Motion was made to adjourn by WW, seconded by Three Persons. Motion passed. After meeting, Lead Foulin’ stated he would start work on targets and ranges. He has many new ideas and suggestions.
