Presidents Message

Howdy:

First I want to apologize for not getting our score sheet out in the last newsletter. Small oversight by the secretary. (OOPS and I apologize too. Sorry) See attached sheet this month..

Congratulations to Doe Will for his first place finish, J.W. Brockey 2nd (shooting duelist because of a thumb injury) , and Mogollon 3rd place. It was a lot of fun, small turn out, but efficient. AND YES we will be shooting Fathers Day. We had several shooters from here that shot in the Invitational at Founders Ranch in May and understand they all had a good time. Good luck to all that enter the End of Trail shoot June 16-25, not entering myself but will be up to visit.

We have another long distance member, Scotty, from Louisiana. Thanks for your help at the May shoot and thanks also to Dusty Star for bringing refreshments to the shoot. Thank you.

MINUTES OF May 18, 2006 MEETING

President Brockey called the meeting to order at 6:10 with 7 members present. Secretary read the minutes of the last meeting...Anna Paulova made motion to accept them and Salty seconded it. All in favor. Treasurer Anna Paulova gave the treasurers report and said there were 9 shooters at the last cowboy shoot and 7 at the free style shoot. Our balance was $1005.19. Hombre 45 made motion to accept the report and Salty seconded it All in favor.

OLD BUSINESS: There had been questions about the time of our shoot since daylight savings time. After a discussion it was decided to leave our shooting time as 10:00 a.m. year round because of shooters traveling any distance. It makes it a little bit easier on the travelers. HOWEVER, THE FUN SHOOT ON The 2ND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH WILL SHOOT AT 9:00. Setup at 8:00 a.m. President Brockey thanked all for the lockers tidiness. Said they were in good order and he appreciated it. Salty brought up the fact that there was some vandalism to a locker and that we should keep our eyes open for anybody that might be guilty. The flag pole has been shot at not 1, not 2 but three times. If caught they will I be prosecuted.

NEW BUSINESS:

The re-qualification license for carry and conceal is coming due for a lot of our shooters and 4 square discussed the fact that he would like to try and get the guy to come here. He would handle all the arrangements and sign up so President Brockey said the club would support him in getting it all together. Hombre 45 made motion to support 4 square with getting this done and Salty seconded. All in favor.

Anna Paulova made motion we adjourn at 6:30 p.m. and Hombre 45 seconded it. All in favor.
